PNG coffee cultivation began in the early 1930s with seeds brought in from Jamaica’s, Blue Mountain arabica by colonial. Most PNG coffee produced by smallholder farmers with only a couple of acres of a coffee farm. Typically, PNG coffee is grown in the mountain highlands that rich in volcanic soils. The fertile soil tends to produce beans that are rich in chocolate and tropical fruits favor.
